INVOLVED IN OTHER WAYS…
We are currently doing the Get Involved Campaign. This campaign is encouraging parents to be involved in their child’s educational experience. This involvement doesn’t look the same for all parents. We would enjoy having you partner with us on spreading the word about this campaign.
Today, I wanted to share with you a short list on how getting involved can look in other ways.
LIST OF OTHER WAYS TO BE INVOLVED:
- teaching your child to ride a bike
- taking walks with your child
- playing catch with your child
- going to your child’s school play
- this is for men: changing your child’s diaper (lol)
- taking your child to the park
- sitting on the porch conversing with your child
THE LOOK CAN LOOK SO MANY WAYS. be involved!

TIME management
How do you manage your time? At the end of the day, how do you normally feel? Productive? Not Productive? Managing your time is so critical. For me, I spend time daily pondering how to better my time management. There was a time when I would pray for more time in a day. I wanted to share with you a list of my thoughts on time management.
my LIST on time management:
- to do list
- a calendar
- less i.e. cut back
- thirty minutes a day planing the next
- notepad. keep a notepad to jot down things
- organize your files
- have your emails come to your phone (if possible)
- discipline
Well, have fun managing your time and conquering the WORLD.

School Project
Of course you know, we are doing the “GET INVOLVED CAMPAIGN”. This is a campaign encouraging parents to be involved in their child’s educational experience. Well, this weekend I will be finishing up a school project with my son. He has to put together a brochure for pets. Earlier this week, he had to write a story about a past experience. It has been fun. The wife has played a role in this project as well. It has been some family bonding.
But here is the truth, I have not been able to help my 5th year old son with math homework. It’s pretty difficult. I, at times, feel completely “stupid” for lack of a better word. It has been so long. My wife and I laugh at the fact that we sometimes can’t help our son with his math homework without visiting Google.
Thanks Google!
Have a great weekend!

Dad’s View Presentation
I did my first Dad’s View Presentation on last Saturday. It went really well. I will be adding pictures here soon. Of course, there is room for improvement but I was pleased.
This was done via a back to school event. It was good seeing all the children getting the information available as well as school supplies.

get to vs. have to by seth godin
My man Seth Godin (he isn’t really my man…i don’t know seth from adam). today, he wrote on a post on people having the opportunity to “get to” vs. “have to” which I thought was interesting. I sat for a minute considering how often I “get to” vs. “have to” in my life. Take a moment to read “my man” Seth’s POST.
