On Wednesday, I took my son to school.  It was the first day.  He and I went to eat breakfast together before school started.  We discussed his goals for the year and some other stuff.  Eventually, we headed towards the school.  Once there, we encountered lines of cars.  I could feel the anticipation of the first day of school as the kids jumped out of the cars.  My son and I continued to discuss all the hot topics about school.  After a few minutes of waiting in line, we park the car.  I walked proudly with my son into the school.  We were greeted by several teachers.  They directed in the proper direction.  As we turn into the class, I see a bunch of students sitting patiently while the teacher gave seating assignments.  I introduced myself and the teacher did the same.  After lite conversing, I felt confident I had made my statement.  The statement being, I’m a father who cares and will BE INVOLVED!
