The Get Involved Campaign is an honest message encouraging parents to be active in their child’s educational experience by presenting three questions.
Three Questions:
- Are you active in your child’s Parent Teacher Association?
- How often do you help your child with homework?
- Do you provide your child with the resources to succeed in his or her educational experience?
Campaigning by way of:

QUOTES:
- The parent is the child’s first teacher. Kids succeed when parents model the importance of education. Jay Pete, Oklahoma City School Teacher
- It is essential that the parents stay involved consistently to ensure that there is effective carryover and monitoring of skills taught and learned in the classroom and at the home environment. Dennis Mathew, Speech Pathologist for Mustang School District
- Children need to see the importance of education in the their parents. When implemented, instructional guided practices through parental involvement is key for intellectual growth. Kenny Brooks, Oklahoma City School Teacher
- As a teacher, we only have our children of tomorrow for a short number of hours in the day. It is my belief that what the children see at home and what they do with their parents, has the the biggest impact on how a child is brought up. With that said, how powerful would a child’s educational experience be if the parents shared the same goals as that child’s teacher, in turn teaching going on throughout the day. It is my belief that this is what is lacking in the community that I teach in. That is why it is important for parents to be involved in their child’s educational experience. Eric Tingle, Houston School Teacher
