I haven’t checked the numbers on how many fathers take parental leave in the US but this article I found to be interesting. The article deals with how many fathers take parental leave in Canada. It states that more fathers are doing it.

i don’t know that there is a yes or no answer here. it’s purely situational. if you are a good father you’ll know…won’t you? at least i hope.

I think it depends on the child if they require extra attention i think that it is necessary for the father to take the time out to make sure the child is getting the correct guidance. But it does depend on the situation as J said.
