How? Good Question.

Photobucket

Do you dream? Do you have a vision? If so, how do you fulfill that dream? Do you have a plan? How long do you project it will take to achieve the dream? How will you get there? How? Draw the map and pull out the GPS. Know that you will get there but PLAN. How?

GO VOTE. I DID.

Heady Voted!

My wife and I did the early voting yesterday. It was a really cool experience. It was the first time my wife and I went to vote together. My wife was really into the election this year. She “schooled” me on just about everything. I kept up with it the best I could.

The Kid Camera Project

Check out this “cool” organization online HERE.  The New Orleans Kid Camera Project was created to address the psychological and emotional impacts of Hurricane Katrina on children returning home to New Orleans.  Through the use of photography, creative writing and mixed media, children from flooded neighborhoods explore their environment and express themselves, their stories and feelings with their friends.  This project provides a venue for growth and recovery.  By teaching the children tangible skills and exposing them to new means of expression, we hope to empower them to impact their lives and environment.

The Neighborhood Story Project

This is a great organization in New Orleans.  You can visit there site HERE.

ABOUT: In 2004, the Neighborhood Story Project was founded by Rachel Breunlin and Abram Himelstein as a book-making project based in the neighborhoods where we live and work.  Following our mission, “Our stories told by us,” we work with writers in neighborhoods around New Orleans to create books about their communities.  The NSP is a 501 C3 tax-exempt organization in partnership with the University of New Orleans.

ASKING FOR OR RAISING MONEY…

I had to share this post.  I found it on Seth’s blog today.  I think everyone that has to raise funds to fund what they’re passionate about concerning change should read this.  It made me breathe easier.  Another thing, I want to make sure you see the importance of being able to share your STORY via this post.  It is mentioned on numerous occasions in this post about being able or just sharing your STORY.  I hope this post helps.  Let me say this post was originally written by Sasha Dichter.
